I've decided to start posting some riddles, feel free to try and answer!

Put a coin in a bottle and then stop the opening with a cork. How can you get the coin out of the bottle without pulling out the cork or breaking the bottle?

Unfortunately, we did not get enough entries for July to run the contest, we will combine the July entries with the August entries.

August's Art Contest Theme: Horses!

1. Must be 12 years old or younger.

2. All entries must be electronically emailed to Contest@RoseyToys.com and must be in jpeg format (yes, we can and will accept any artwork that has either been digitally photographed or scanned in). Sorry at this time we cannot accept "paper" drawings in the mail.

3. The email MUST include the following:

Contestant's First and Last Name (only first name will be posted)

• Parent / Guardian First and Last Name
• Home Address
  
• Home Phone Number
• E-Mail Address
• Age
• Title of Art Work
  

We ask for address, phone number and email address to be able to either contact the winner and send them their prize, or contact you in the event we can't see the picture sent. We do not sell our lists nor "tele-market" our customers (we hate those calls during dinner too!)

4. You can optionally include an explanation of

what your picture is and your piece of art means to you (100 words or less).

Now, kiddies go have fun and start creating beautiful pieces of art - we love seeing them!

5. All entries must be accompanied by a parent or guardian name and must come from their email address, this will indicate parental/guardian approval.

6. The only information that will be included on our website with your child's art will be the following:

First Name (no last names - ever - no exceptions)
Age
Title of Art Work
City & State.

For example, "I love RoseyToys.com", Ellie, age 4, Pearl River, NY

If you do not want this information posted, please include this in your email and we will only post the age and title of the artwork for voting purposes.

7. All entries become the property of RoseyToys.com / Gift Mercant, LLC

and may be used by RoseyToys.com / Gift Merchant, LLC in any and all media now known or

hereafter developed for non-commercial and commercial purposes alike.

8. The subject of all art must be in the genre of each month's theme.

9. The Dates:

• Entries received from the 1st of the month thru the last day of the month will qualify for that month's drawing.
• The "top five" will be posted by the 5th of each month - and the voting will begin!
• Voting closes on the last day of each month.
• The winners will be notified by the 5th of the following month and the winner's drawing will be posted on our site at that time.
  

Employees of RoseyToys.com / Gift Merchant, LLC and their families are not eligible for this contest.

There must be a minimum of 15 entries each month for voting to commence. If 15 entries are not received, the contest will not be held that month.

Keep Track of Your Kids Chores!

As a parent we sometimes had issues keeping track of our kids chores, and keeping track if/when they were being done. Well we gave the Melissa & Doug's Magnetic Responsibility Chart to our kids and it made life a lot easier! We were able to add or replace chores as needed and our children had fun keeping track of the chores they accomplished!

Too Much Snow!

We moved our warehouse from Pearl River, NY (just north of NY City) to Saratoga Springs, NY (just north of Albany, NY) this past summer. Why did we move you ask? Well, we love Saratoga Springs, it is beautiful! It has more than just the track (although the track is very pretty). There is a cultural arts center, the school district is great, a great downtown and a lot of things to do with kids.

When we inquired about the amount of snow from all of the people we knew, we were told over and over, that this area just didn't get much snow over the last decade or so. Most felt it was due to global warming. "Whew" we thought, great (not about global warming, just the lack of snow)! Now let's make our move!

Well it is our first winter up here, and let's just say they were all WRONG! We have been it with over 31 inches of snow since January 1st, and it does not seem to want to let up. When we ask the people who told us that they "hardly ever get snow".... well they blame it on us - because we moved here!!

Maybe they are right, perhaps we should tell Mother Nature that we are moving to Florida, so that all of our snow will end up there and perhaps it will be 80 degrees here! :)

Customers, don't worry, our faithful warehouse folks will still get your orders out on time! Their fingers and toes might be freezing (we do have heat, but there is only so much you can do when the tempurature is 0 degrees!), but they will all work very hard to get your orders out in a timely fashion.

For all of you that live in the Southern portion of the US, we beg you, please send us some of your heat! We can really use it!
